All to play for in Second Division
With just two rounds of matches left in the League season, it is still all to play for in the Second Division. Apart from the Champions, CD Club, and the DeRailers, safe in mid-table, the other seven sides all have big things to play for.  Congratulations also to Ronan McCarthy, who on Sunday, retained his League Mens Individual Title, beating Sam Newell in the Final.

As mentioned, Ronan McCarthy has retained his Individuals Title, this year defeating Sam Newell by 7 frames to 4 in the Final.
Some dates for your diary: May 6 – Doubles (in Kingfisher), May 13 – 3-a-sides (in Shooters), May 20 – Mixed Doubles (in Kingfisher), May 25 – Annual Dinner & Presentation Night – held in Clandeboye Lodge, entertainment by Fusion.  Tickets available for £15 each.
This Saturday, 21st, Shooters are hosting a ‘Charity Day of Pool’.  There will be a 5-a-side competition in the afternoon, followed by a Challenge Ronan McCarthy, current N Down & Ards and NI Champion.  In the evening, there will be an exhibition from 3-time World Champion Gareth Potts, where victorious challengers will get a prize donated by a local business.  All money raised will be donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care, and the day is being run and organised by Shooters Sharks player, Terry McDowell.
